Hotmail now allows free forwarding
November 26, 2008 – 2:05 pmThought I’d never see this day. My circa 1995 Hotmail account finally allows me to forward email to another account. A sane move by Microsoft and Hotmail.
But there is always a catch. All your forwarded mail gets deleted from the Hotmail site. No big deal there. But the catch is that you still have to log in to Hotmail every 120 days “in order to help fight junk”. Which is BS. At the very least there ought to be a way to verify your Hotmail — prove that you are a real person — and never have to log in to that monstrosity of a site again.
Update: I was wrong. You can’t really do this the way I said.
