Live iPhone OS 3.0 preview event
March 17, 2009 – 10:06 am
I was checking into embeddable live blogging web services to follow Apple’s live event where the iPhone’s OS 3.0 should be previewed. The only such service I could find is CoverItLive.com. But there is no one using it for the event in English (that I could find).
Instead it looks like I’ll turn to Engadget’s live blog coverage. The event starts at noon, central time.
UPDATE: Some of the new features in 3.0, available sometime this summer for all iPhones:
- CUT, COPY AND PASTE
- Same apps now have the ability to talk to each other (like for games)
- Landscape mode keyboard for text messaging and email
- Send multiple pics, contacts, location and audio files via MMS (sadly not available for 1st gen iPhones)
- Search entire iPhone with Spotlight
- Streaming video and audio
- Push notifications
- Apps can now embed Google maps
